Submission Guidelines

Mare Nostrum seeks poems, essays, traveler’s tales, translations and other fictions. The anthology is published annually each spring. Submit 1 – 5 poems, or double-spaced prose, to:

Reading period is August 15 – December 15. Manuscripts received outside these dates will be saved for the next reading period. Manuscripts cannot be returned.

We primarily print previously unpublished works, though will consider reprints with author permission (no reprint fees). All rights revert to author upon publication.

Submissions will be considered for the print anthology, web site, or both.
